Heat Pump Installation in North Vancouver
North Vancouver homes face conditions the rest of the Lower Mainland doesn’t: steep lots, heavy rainfall, and upper neighbourhoods that get real snow while Lonsdale stays wet. A heat pump here has to be the right model, but it also has to be mounted, drained and protected properly. We install ducted, ductless and dual fuel systems in the City and District of North Vancouver.
North Shore conditions we design for
- Elevation and snow. Homes in Upper Lonsdale, Lynn Valley, Edgemont and the upper slopes see more cold nights and snow. We choose cold-climate models, raise units above the snow line, and keep them out from under roof edges where snow slides off.
- Rain. Constant winter rain plus defrost water means drainage matters. Units go on brackets or raised pads, never in low spots.
- Steep and split-level lots. We plan line-set routes, wall mounting on retaining walls or upper decks, and safe access for future servicing.
- Older post-and-beam and split-level homes. These often have limited or awkward ductwork, which makes ductless systems the practical choice.
- Quiet neighbourhoods. Many homes back onto ravines and quiet streets, so we choose low-sound models and place them carefully.
